SUBSURFACE MAPPING SURVEYS

Geopotential's SUBSURFACE MAPPING SURVEYS consist of detailed traverses utilizing three different types of instruments: magnetic, electromagnetic and ground penetrating radar. The use of these types of instruments provides highly reliable results. Results are marked at the sites and plotted on site maps. A report describing survey methods and results are provided.

SUBSURFACE MAPPING SURVEYS are used to map near surface features such as underground storage tanks, buried waste drums, utilities, catch basins, dry wells, cesspools, unexploded ordnance and other features of interest in environmental site assessments. In addition shallow geologic studies are conducted to map shallow geologic stratigraphy and structure, groundwater and contaminant plumes.

Download "SUBSURFACE MAPPING SURVEYS" that describes the surveys we conduct for environmental site assesments.

SUBSURFACE CLEARANCE SURVEYS

GeoPotential's SUBSURFACE CLEARANCE SURVEYS, a type of SUBSURFACE MAPPING SURVEYS,  are conducted to assure local areas which are to be drilled or excavated are clear of utilities or other subsurface obstructions.

 SUBSURFACE TANK SCANS

Conducting scans to search for heating oil tanks at residential sites have become increasingly common for property transfers.

Download "Residential Requirements" that describes what site preparation is necessary for a residential scan.

To learn more about underground storage tank rules and regulations go to the Oregon DEQ Tank Site.

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD SURVEYS

EMF Surveys detect the strength of electromagnetic radiation emanating from electrical power lines, cell towers, instruments and appliances.

RADIATION SURVEYS

Radiation Surveys measure the amounts of alpha, beta and gamma radiation emanating from radioactive msterial.

 DOWNHOLE VIDEO LOGGING SURVEYS

GeoPotential conducts Downhole Video Logging Surveys in drillholes as small as 2 inches in diameter and to depths of 650 feet.
